Science in the early childhood environment helps develop such skills as observation, classification, and communication. Discussion will be centered on “finding science” in the activities you are already doing as well as additional “science activities” you can add to your program.

Loss of jobs and income cuts have forced families to struggle with basic costs like housing, medical care, transportation, food, clothing and child care. Come and learn valuable resources that you can share with your families to help support their needs.

Making Math Count ~ Turning Your Classroom into a Math Playground
Core Knowledge Area: Environment and Curriculum
Approaching math from a playful and child-centered point of view. Teaching children to use their senses and bodies to explore ideas. Children will discover how math feels, tastes, and looks, and then will be able to record and talk about the concepts and what they learned. Learn how to incorporating math in most areas of your curriculum.

Pre-Registration Information
Two child care training hours approved by Nevada Registry for each workshop.
Workshops held in Sparks (Directions will be emailed)
Workshops are held from 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Workshops are $15.00 per person per workshop.
Pre-Registration is REQUIRED for all workshops!

Workshop fees include all supplies and a certificate of completion.
Class size is limited.
Please PRE-REGISTER for each workshop by sending a check or money order prior to the workshop or email me to reserve your space.
Please note the date of the workshop you are registering for in the “memo” portion of your check. Please include your phone number.
Drop in availability is usually not a problem but you must please call or email the day prior to the workshop for availability.

Cash refunds can not be issued. If you have registered for a workshop and are unable to attend, please notify Cynthia Martinez prior to the class (no later than 2:00PM the day of the workshop) and you may transfer your workshop payment to another class within next six weeks.
